Gleanings From The Harvest is a vital and necessary food procurement and distribution network that provides nourishing food to those who most need it. By maximizing relationships with major food distributors and producers, Gleanings effectively distributes nutritious food not only to the truly destitute but to many families in Galveston County who are considered to be the "working poor."

Solving the problem of hunger in Galveston County is not just a matter of getting more food to the needy. It's a matter of getting more food to the organizations that serve the needy.

The solution is the Galveston County Food Bank, an interfaith community-based organization established solely to receive surplus food from restaurants, grocery stores, institutions that prepare meals, corporations that manufacture food products, food brokers and shippers.

From the beginning, we at Food & Vine Time Productions have felt that giving back to the community is as important a part of what we do as putting on great productions.

We’re delighted to promote the efforts and needs of the Galveston County Food Bank in various ways throughout Brewmasters Craft Beer Festival including The 5K Rock & Run, The Kegerator & Keg Raffle at the big events as well as accepting food donations and spare change at BrewTopia Beer Garden all three days. Your spare change can change lives. Timed appropriately with Hunger Awareness Month in September, Brewmasters Craft Beer Festival supports our partner, Gleanings From The Harvest, in assisting their benefactors in cutting through the regulatory maze and efficiently gets surplus food to the groups that distribute it to the hungry. They spend the time acquiring and storing the food that local agencies need every day to provide an uninterrupted supply of good, nourishing products for those in need - the elderly, the working poor and all those who fall through the cracks of the government’s safety net. Solving the problem of hunger in Galveston County is not just a matter of getting more food to the needy. It's a matter of getting more food to the organizations that serve the needy.
