Brewmasters will be held at The Moody Gardens Hotel and Convention on September 2-5, 2011.

How much are tickets and where can I get them?

tickets. Tickets will be on sale at the door the day of the event for BrewHaHa and BrewLicious. In
past years, the events have sold out soon after doors open so get here fast before they're gone!
Tickets will go on sale one hour before doors open. You must be 21+ with a valid ID to attend BrewHaha
and Brewlicious. If you're not 21+, don't worry... we have an event for you too. BrewTopia is free and
open to all ages!
What do I get for the price of my ticket?
*** You must be 21+ with a valid ID to purchase tickets and attend the festival. BrewHaha:
- admission to the BrewHaha
- a commemorative plastic beer sample mug
- an event guide
- 24 (1oz) beer samples from numerous breweries
VIP BrewHaha includes everything above, PLUS:
- granted entry one hour before general admission
- unlimited access to the designated VIP tent (which features food samples from Texas restaurants!)
- a seating area for you to relax throughout the festival
- specialty beers only available to the VIPs!
BrewLicious:
- culinary creations from over a dozen participating chefs and restaurants
- admission to the BrewLicious
- a commemorative plastic beer sample mug
- an event guide
- 24 (1oz) beer samples from numerous breweries
- 2oz samplings of dishes from some of Texas' best restaurants!
BrewLicious VIP Lounge includes everything above listed under BrewLicious, PLUS:
- culinary creations from over a dozen participating chefs and restaurants
- entry one hour before general admission
- unlimited admission to the designated VIP area (with specialty beers!)
- a seating area for you to relax throughout the festival
Do you sell a designated driver ticket?
Yes! We encourage you to purchase one and give it to someone if you plan on consuming alcohol. Designated
drivers are welcome to walk around the festival floor and enjoy the live music and festival atmosphere!

- Free sodas and water will be available at concession areas for Designated Drivers.
- Designated drivers will be given a different wrist band from those who are drinking and will NOT be served any alcoholic beverages at the event.
- Remember you must be 21+ with a valid ID to purchase tickets and attend both the BrewHaha and Brewlicious
Do you accept credit cards or checks?
Sorry, we do not accept personal checks. However, we accept all major credit cards: Visa, Mastercard,
Discover and American Express. We accept cash. There is an ATM in the ticket lobby.
Will there be a coat/backpack check?
There will not be a coat/backpack check. There are no lockers for rent. No backpacks will be
allowed into the events.
Can I bring my child?
In accordance with TABC rules, no one under the age of 21 is allowed into any of the closed events.
Under 21 includes infant, babies, small children, pre-teens and teenagers. However, all is not lost.
The kiddos can have fun too because BrewTopia, an open air event, is open to ALL ages!
Can I bring my pet?
In accordance with Health Department rules, no animals (with the exception of service animals) will be
allowed into the closed events. Animals are allowed in the BrewTopia area.
Why is there a line to get in?
Beer enthusiasts and novices alike will line up in advance for a chance to be the first ones into the
event! In accordance with TABC rules, the ID of every person entering the event MUST be checked, regardless
of age. The line will move as quickly as possible, but we do apologize for any delays. To help speed up
the process, please have your ID and tickets out to present to the ticketing agent.
Will food & non-alcoholic beverages be available?
During BrewHaha, food and non-alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase from the food vendors
within the event. During BrewLicious, 2oz. samples of selections from various outstanding Texas
restaurants will be available to all event patrons to pair with beer. Bottled water will be available to
all event patrons.
Can I bring outside food & beverage in the venue?
Sorry, no outside food or beverages will be allowed into any ticketed event. There is one exception, pretzel necklaces will be allowed.
Should I drive or take public transportation?
First, we would like to emphasize that we want all our patrons to be safe, so please drink responsibly!
Public transportation is always recommended when drinking alcohol. If you chose to stay at Moody Gardens,
you will be within walking distance of your room! Yellow Cab transportation can be arranged in advance. Choose your ride. Drive responsibly.

Are there any gluten-free beers this year?
Unfortunately at this time, we do not have any gluten-free beers for BrewMasters 2011. Stay tuned, we
are hoping to add this component!
How can I become a sponsor for this year's event?
We welcome sponsors! The more, the merrier. Please contact the administrator at info@foodandvinetime.com to
find out about sponsorship opportunities for BrewMasters 2011 and 2012. We look forward to working with you
to customize a sponsorship that works for you!
Are Children allowed at BrewMasters?
The answer to this question depends on the BrewMasters event. No one under 21 will be admitted
(including infants/young children) to all BrewLicious and BrewHaha Events. All IDs will be checked at
the door.
Children will be allowed in the BrewTopia Beer Garden & Outdoor Concerts & Krazy Kids Fun Zone.
Why are the tasting cups plastic?
Plastic tasting mugs are used in accordance with Moody Gardens' rules that no glass will be allowed at
the events (for safety reasons, of course!).
Is the Beer Festival a giant bar?
On the contrary. BrewHaha and BrewLicious are both educational tasting events that are designed to let you experience beers that you do not have on a regular basis. Try'em and learn! BrewMasters craft Beer Festival works to highlight craft beers from all over the world. We invite you to taste 24 (1oz) samples
of these enticing beers that will excite novice AND experienced patrons alike. If you feel that you would
like to continue the tasting experience past your initial 24 samples, you may purchase a second punch card
that contains 12 (1 oz) samples. Sampling portions are maximum permitted by the TABC.
How many beers are there?
BrewHaha will have over 400 beers to excite your tastebuds! But for the most part, the amount of beer and
beer selections will vary from event-to-event.
How can breweries run out of beer?
Occasionally, breweries will run out of a popular product for the remainder of a particular event. There
are over 400 other beers to take advantage of tasting, so we're confident you'll find many you'll love!
What is the appropriate ID to get in?
You must be 21+ with a valid ID to purchase tickets and attend BrewHaha and BrewTopia. All patrons must have
their IDs checked in accordance with TABC regulations regardless of age. Please be prepared to show your ID
to the Ticket attendant. The proper IDs to get into the event include:
- A Driver License
- A Passport
- US military Identification card with a photo and birth date
- *Note: the ID cannot be expired at the time of the festival
When will ticket and extra punch card sales cease?
Ticket sales will cease 45 minutes prior to the end of the event. Punch card sales will cease 30 minutes
prior to the end of the event.
Will there be any other activities during the events?
Each event contains different components and may have other things to do along with beer tasting.
Please check out the event descriptions for each event to
determine what other things might be going on!
How do I find the beer I want?
Upon entrance into the event, you will be given an event guide that will list all of the available beers.
Each brewery table has a sign hanging above it that states the name of the brewery and most will list the beers they are serving. The best way to find the brew you are looking for is to make sure it is being sampled by checking the list and then by heading to that brewery table!
Is smoking allowed?
Sorry, smoking is not allowed within any of the Moody Gardens Hotel and Convention Center event rooms.
Please note that there is a smoking area outside the building and you may leave and re-enter the event as
long as your wristband is still intact.
Where are restrooms located?
The restroom for each event is located inside the Moody Gardens Hotel and Convention Center. You
will be allowed to leave the event and re-enter as long as your wrist band is still intact.
Where is the Lost and Found located?
There will not be a designated area for Lost and Found at the event. Should you lose something, please
contact the BrewMasters event coordinators or a Moody Gardens Staff representative who will be able to help you.
Where is the entrance?
There are different entrances for each event. Event entrances will be indicated by signs outside the
building. If you are inside the Moody Gardens Hotel and Convention Center, please follow the signs that
are placed throughout the building to guide you to the events. Before you arrive at BrewMasters,
please familiarize yourself the Moody Gardens Map so that you know where the buildings are located on the
property. Below is the link to the map.
Will there be souvenirs for sale?
Yes, plenty! There will be souvenirs for sale at all events. Souvenirs include, t-shirts, koozies, embroidered hats and logo key chain bottle openers. Souvenirs are also available on the site at Moody Gardens, in the Gift shop, at the events and on the event website, please visit the ticket page to purchase souvenirs from on our website.
Will the weather impact the event?
As most of the events for the BrewMasters craft beer festival are inside the Moody Gardens
Convention Center, weather will not impact these indoor events. The BrewTopia Beer Garden and outdoor
concert may be cancelled in the case of inclement weather since it's outside. Please stay up-to-date with

Will there be live music at the events?
Of course! BrewHaha will feature the sultry southern rock sounds of the Robert Hartye Band. BrewTopia will feature different musicians each day. Check here for the updated schedule!
Who does the BIBF benefit?
Brewmasters craft Beer Festival (whew, that's a mouthful. BIBF for short!) benefits the Galveston
County Food Bank.
