Jason Lyon

Head Brewer, Rahr & Sons Brewing Company

Began his beer career by teaching himself to homebrew while attending Louisiana Tech working on his undergrad because he wasn’t old enough to buy beer. He went on to get his Masters in Molecular Biology at SMU, which brought him to North Texas. Jason started volunteering at Rahr & Sons Brewery in the Spring of 2009 on the bottling line and as a brewhouse grunt. He worked his way to up to a real brewer not long after and is now a YouTube sensation thanks to a series of videos called "What Brewers Do When They Can’t Brew" with one of our other brewers, Austin Jones. In his off time, Jason enjoys sailing, beer and the occasional sandwich.
