Rio Ranch Texas has allowed Houstonians to experience the Texas Hill Country while staying in the Houston city limits. Rio Ranch boasts rustic elegance and a cowboy cuisine. Best known for their Sunday Brunch, Wood Grilled Steaks & Seafood and monthly Wine Dinners, Chef San Hemwattikit has displayed his talent at Rio Ranch for over 17 years.

Rio Ranch was first conceptualized by Chef San Hemwattikit and Chef Robert Del Grande of Café Annie. Chef Hemwattikit was born in Thailand and attended college in Sacramento, California. It was there that he learned of his culinary skills and passion for food. Chef Hemwattikit has won several awards including first place in the Gene Wild Man cook off along with taking the People’s Choice Award in the Caesar Salad competition held annually at the Omni Hotel. One of his most memorable experiences was the prestigious honor to cook for President George Bush and other top leaders from around the world alongside his colleague, Chef Robert Del Grande.

With his culinary talents, Chef Hemwattikit has continued to achieve a Zagat Rated status for Rio Ranch as well as keeping Rio Ranch as a staple in Houston’s expanding restaurant community.
